Economists say it's unlikely Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will be back for a third term next year.

And most think that's bad news for the economy, according to a CNN Money survey.

Bernanke's current term ends on January 31, 20-14. Economists predict he will opt to leave in favor of a return to teaching.

Bernanke has dodged questions about whether he wants or expects a third term.
