MIDLAND -- Midland High's Phillip Fuentes will hold on to his familiar purple and gold colors.

The wide receiver signed his letter of intent on Wednesday to play football for the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys.

Fuentes served as a team captain for the Bulldogs during a busy senior year, where he not only played wide out, but also special teams and defense. Fuentes said he will stick to the wide receiver position at Hardin-Simmons.
