MIDLAND -- Midland Police are looking for a man accused of posing as a home contractor in order to steal money from clients.

Police say that Raul Torres Urias is pretending to be a contractor who builds and remodels homes in Midland.

Urias, 55, reportedly offers to do the construction at rock bottom prices, and police say he makes it look like he'll have the work done in a few days.

Urias also allegedly asks clients to pay a large down payment before he begins work.

Urias then reportedly starts minor work on the home, before disappearing with the down payment in tow.

Victims of Urias' alleged fraud scheme are asked to call Midland Police at (432) 685-7108.
