George P. Bush Speaks At Bush Day Dinner

MIDLAND -- The grandson of Former President George H. W. Bush and nephew of Former President George W. Bush is in West Texas.

George P. Bush was the keynote speaker at the Bush Day Dinner Monday night. The event was held held at the CAF's George H.W. and Barbara Bush Hangar.

Last Fall, Bush announced he intentions to run for a state office, saying he's considering one of several positions. Currently, Bush serves as the Deputy Finance Chairman for the Republican Party of Texas. He was also a co-founder of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas.

Bush talked about engaging the next generation of Texas conservatives and about his family's history.

The event is organized by Midland County and Ector County Republicans.

"This is a fundraiser for the Midland and Ector County Republican Parties," Tisha Crow with the Ector County Republican Party. "He [George P. Bush] has completely donated his time, he is not charging us anything what so ever, so all the money will stay here in the local counties."
