Some high profile Republicans are showing their support for same-sex marriage, including a few members of Congress.

A brief filed as part of the upcoming Supreme Court battle over the Defense of Marriage act reportedly includes the names of dozens of members of the GOP.

According to the New York Times, they include former advisors to President George W. Bush, former presidential candidate Jon Huntsman and former Bush National Security Adviser Steve Hadley.

Next month, the Supreme Court will hear arguments on a voter-approved same-sex marriage ban in California and the 1996 federal law that defines marriage as only between a man and a woman.

The brief is an apparent push by prominent Republicans to sway conservative members on the high court.
