MIDLAND COUNTY -- One person is injured in a crash at a Midland County highway intersection.

The crash happened at the intersection of F.M. 1788 and TX 191 around 4:25 PM Monday.

Midland Police say that a work truck was heading north along F.M. 1788 when the driver ran a red light at the TX 191 intersection and tried to make a left turn onto the westbound TX 191 service road.

An oncoming pickup truck (which was heading south on F.M. 1788) crashed into the work truck.

The impact of the crash sent the pickup truck over a guardrail into northbound traffic on F.M. 1788.

The pickup truck then crashed into a blue Nissan Sentra.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else was injured in the crash.
