Skeletal remains were found in the dry lake bed near Lake J.B. Thomas on March 16th.
The skeletal remains consisted of a femur, a skull and a tooth.
The remains were reportedly found in an area that had been underwater before severe drought conditions nearly drained Lake J.B. Thomas dry in 2011.
The remains appeared to be spread by wildlife, and law enforcement searched the area for 4 days for additional remains.
Officials reopened several roads in the area and moved out on March 19th.
However, the dirt road that leads to the spot where the remains were found -- near the Rocky Point area of the lake -- remained closed.
There has been speculation that the remains could be those of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn.
Dunn was last seen on December 27, 2010 -- when she was 13-years-old.
However, the remains have yet to be identified.
The skeletal remains will likely be sent to Tarrant County or Lubbock County for identification.
