MIDLAND -- Spring practice came to an end today for the Midland Bulldogs as they held their annual Purple-White game today at Memorial Stadium.

And it didn't take long for the chemistry to click. Joeseph Perez hooked up with Eli Banda on the bomb in the second series for a touchdown.

Midland Head Coach Craig Yenzer was happy with the way spring practices turned out. Over 200 kids showed up for the 3 weeks of practice.

But this year will be quite different for the coach. For the first time in his tenure as head coach, he will not be calling the plays or coaching the quarterbacks.

"It gives me a chance to kind of step back and look at all three phases and just kind of be an accountability officer", said Yenzer. "So, I'm excited about it."
