Alpine Lady Bucks Championship Hopes Fall Short

AUSTIN -- The Alpine Lady Bucks fought hard all game long but were on the short end of the stick in the Class 2A State Championship. Crawford used a strong 6th and 7th inning to beat Alpine 5-1.

Mary Catherine Saenz had the lone RBI for Alpine in the 4th off a perfect suicide squeeze bunt.

It was the Lady Bucks first apperance in the State Tournament.
