MCCAMEY -- Chris McWilliams has a lot to live up to after his debut season in McCamey. the Badgers won a share of the district crown and made it to the area round of the playoffs.
Now McCamey is seen as the favorites to take 5-1A, D-II this year.

Things may be tougher for the Badgers this time around. Since there are only four teams in teh district, every team will play the other twice. That won't affect McCamey's philosophy. Just as they did in 2011, the Badgers will rely heavily on the running game and a stout defense.

"We want to run the football first, we want to play great defense kinda the old Pittsburgh Steelers philosophy," McWilliams said."You win a lot of games if you play great defense and run the ball."

The Badgers open the season when they host Irion County as part of the 6-Man Shootout on Sept. 17th.
