MIDLAND -- While most schools are preparing for a new district in 2012, the Trinity Chargers are getting ready for an entirely new league.

The Chargers make the transition this year from TCAF to TAPPS in the private school ranks.

Trinity will have twelve returning letter men to make the move easier, but they'll also have to do it without a senior class which led the chargers to the state finals last year.

Three starters return on both sides of the ball, which helps, because the new competition will force the Chargers to play at their highest level.

"The biggest difference this year is we're moving to TAPPS, so we'll be in a better district," head coach Chris Jauz said. "We've got the defending division one TAPPS state champion in our district, so it's going to be a lot more competitive and we're going to have to raise the bar to try and get where we want."
