The extra day of practice may not be so welcomed by this team. After barely missing the playoffs in 2011, Lee is more than ready to get back on the field and start its quest for a post season berth.
Quarterback Talor Nunez and 13 other starters return this season for head coach James Morton. Lee enters as the favorite against the Trail Blazers on Saturday, but Morton is not taking his opponent lightly.
"I've been impressed with their (Americas) quickness up front, especially on the defensive side," said Morton. "They had a sophomore quarterback on the team that was second place in that district and they lost a great running back to Boise State, but their coaching staff has elevated that program to one of the elites in El Paso."
