Texas Tech Rolls New Mexico 49-14

By: Red Raider Nation
Updated: September 16, 2012
There's no question Texas Tech missed Eric Ward last week. The junior missed their blowout win over Texas State.

But he was back in full force, as the Red Raiders thumped New Mexico 49-14 at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Seth Doege found him in the first quarter for a 20-yard touchdown to make it 7-0.

Then, Eric Stephens made it happen on the ground, running in a 21-yard touchdown.

And in the second quarter, Doege found Ward again. This time to extend the lead to 21-7.

In the end, it was just too much Doege and Ward. The senior quarterback finishing with 6 touchdowns -- three of them to Ward -- and 340 yards.
