ODESSA -- He's faster the a speeding bullet...More powerful then a locomotive. Jorrion Wilson is not Superman but he was pretty close against San Angelo Central rushing for 255 yards and 5 touchdowns.

"He was a workhorse against San Angelo," said Head Coach Gary Gaines. "I thought our offensive line did a great job opening up some holes for him. He made a lot on his own. He doesn't ever get tired it seems like. "

"God just blessed me with hole to run through and speed to get into open," said Wilson.

He rushed for a season high 41 times in the victory over the Bobcats.  And while I would need a resperator if I ran that much, Jorrion says it's all just part of the job.

"Anybody running you're gonna get a little tired. But it comes with the territory. So I guess you just get used to it."

Jorrion is not just a football player. He also runs track and plays basketball. I asked his quarterback Jack Wilkins who was the better athlete, him or Jorrion? And the answer was easy. But there's one thing where Jack will better Jorrion.

"I bet I could strike him out," said Wilkins. "But that's probably about it."

"Baseball, he may be able to get me," said Wilson. "I'm not to much of a baseball fan, I like to watch it but I don't want to play baseball."

But it's not all about sports, he's just a well rounded guy.

"He's always been johnny on the spot," said Gaines. "He's a great kid. Number three in his class academically. He's involved in a lot of other things in school other then sports."

"We were about to run a play (in practice)," said Wilkins, "and I was like, 'set go or whatever', and I was about to hand it off to him and he just sat there. Coach Clark looks at him and says, 'Jorrion, what are you doing? Why aren't you paying attention?' And he goes, 'Coach, I'm just gonna be honest with you. I was praying.' It was kind of funny. We all got a laugh at it. It was a good time. It just shows what a good guy he is."
