Gas Prices Down Due to Sandy and Crude Price

By: Big 2 News Staff
Updated: November 5, 2012
If you've been to the gas station lately, you are probably a little happier than you were over the summer. The national average price for regular gas is down to three-dollars 55 cents a gallon. That's down 21 cents since late October.

It was a combination of Superstorm Sandy cutting into demand and crude oil prices declining.
Drivers in Memphis, Tennessee have the cheapest gasoline in the country and San Francisco have the highest.

Survey publisher, Trilby Lundberg says this is the sharpest drop since 2008 and predicts prices will drop another 10 to 20 cents over the next few weeks.
