ODESSA -- After all the drama of week ten, the Permian Panthers are the only 5A team out of the Permian Basin to escape with a playoff berth.

The Mojo can credit that to stepping its game up at the right time.

Permian did what needed to be done in the final two weeks of the season. The Panthers upset Midland Lee at home in week nine, and turned around to grab a key 49-24 win over Lubbock Coronado last Thursday.

The Panthers now have a date with El Paso El Dorado at Jones Stadium in Lubbock, Friday at 7 p.m.
