MIDLAND -- The Faith Temple Church of God in Christ presents the "Women On The Rise Banquet". The theme for this year's banquet is "Rising To Meet The Occasion".  It will stylized as a red carpet event with dinner, music, some award presentations and a celebrity Emcee - Mr. Horace Brown - Big 2's Chief Forecaster.

This event provides revenue for grants that we call Women On The Rise Empowerment Grants.  These grants are provided to help women to assist with personal development in numerous areas.  It could be for something as simple as an outfit for an interview or help with books or college tuition.  Anything that will help them to rise above their situation and become all that they have potential to be. We coordinate this event through our Women's Ministry Program at our church as we believe that women who are progressing can then improve life and situations for their immediate families and others around them.

Tickets for the event will be $50.00 and can be purchased by contacting the church at 432-684-5253.  Also, if someone desires to contribute to our cause they may contact the church.

The grant forms can be obtained from the church or online at www.ftc-midland.org.

The Women on the Rise Banquest will be at the Midland Center - 105 N. Main Street in Midland
