MIDLAND -- The City of Midland could soon be getting more housing, which could extend into Martin County.

This week, The Midland Planning and Zoning Commission approved final plans for a new  residential development.

The development will be located 2 miles north of Loop 250 near Elkins Road, and it will reportedly extend into Martin County.

The Tall City annexed the land the development is slated to be built on in south Martin County in the early 1980s.

Midland city leaders reportedly hoped to build an executive air park on the land at the time.

Midland officials tell Big 2 that the land owner plans to develop 23 lots on his 128 acre tract.
