Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter says that a 9-year-old boy was found hanging by a garden hose at a playground in the Airline Mobile Home Park around 5 PM on December 2nd.
The garden hose was reportedly anchored by two trees.
The boy was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Big 2 is not releasing the boy's name.
Painter says that the boy was playing with some other kids, but the other children went into a home in the 800 block of Airline Road.
When the kids came back outside, they reportedly found the boy hanging from the hose.
The children told an adult family member about the discovery.
The adult called 911 and conducted C.P.R. until ems crews and Midland firefighters arrived on scene.
At the request of Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2 David Cobos, the boy's body has been sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
