MIDLAND -- Preparations are already underway for a new fire station in Midland.

Midland Fire Department officials say that the new facility will be built on Sinclair Avenue, just west of Midland Drive.

The building is currently in the preliminary design stages, but it's expected to be finished in the next 16 months.

The new station will be bigger than most of the fire stations across the Tall City.

The new station will accommodate about 9 people on a daily basis.

I would like to know where the 27 firefighter will be coming from? Right now Midland can't staff all the fire stations we already have. Do the tax payers know how much money is going out for overtime right how? MFD does not have the staff at this point to fill each station on a daily bases. Chief Isbell can you answer these questions? Are you just trying to make yourself look good? Midland needs a chief that cares about their city. The chief is out of the office much more then he is in his office. The public needs to wake up and would like to know the answers to these questions.
