Big Bend Blanketed By Snow During West Texas Storm

ALPINE -- Much of the Big Bend was blanketed in white overnight Thursday, as a snowstorm pushed through the area.
Alpine got about 3 inches of snow, shutting down many businesses and making travel hazardous.
Further north, heavy snow forced TXDOT to close Interstate 10 west of Fort Stockton and Interstate 20 west of Monahans on Thursday night.
The highways re-opened Friday morning, and much of the snow that remains is expected to melt off by the end of the weekend across the region.
