BIG SPRING -- Big Spring Mayor Tommy Duncan won't be running for re-election.

Duncan took office in July 2010.

Duncan has face a number of challenges while in office -- including managing Big Spring's growth, lowering the city's tax rate, and helping to bring a new water plant to the area.

Duncan says he's retiring in order to spend more time with his family.
