ODESSA -- Odessa Police are looking for someone who threatened to shoot a Permian High School student outside the school.

Police say that the student was walking from Permian High School to his vehicle (which was parked on Dawn Avenue) around 7:40 PM on February 7th, when a black 4-door car with black rims stopped next to him along East 42nd Street.

Officers say that 4 or 5 men wearing ski masks and dark clothing got out of the car and started to yell at the student.

One of the men reportedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the student.

The student reportedly backed away and ran back to Permian High School.

The student then waited at the school until the suspects left the scene.

The student then went home and told his parents about the incident, before calling police.

Odessa Police say that man who pointed a gun at the student is Hispanic.

The suspect is about 5'8" tall, and he was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a black ski mask.

Anyone with information on this incident should call Odessa Crime Stoppers at (432) 333-TIPS (8477).
