A federal judge in Lubbock sentenced Gabriel Aguilar to 7 years in prison on February 7th.
The sentence came months after Aguilar, 35, pleaded guilty to cocaine trafficking charges.
Big Spring Police arrested Aguilar on December 13, 2011.
A Big Spring Police unit searched Aguilar's home in the 1600 block of Lark Street on the evening when the arrest took place.
Officers found about 2.5 pounds of cocaine, $78,000 in cash, a pistol, plastic scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Police seized the drugs, money, pistol, paraphernalia and 4 vehicles from the home.
Police say the search warrant came at the end of a year-long investigation into cocaine distribution in Big Spring.
Aguilar pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine charges in October 2012.
