MIDLAND -- Texas Department of Public Safety troopers have released the name of the Corpus Christi man killed in an accident northeast of Midland.

The fatal crash happened around mile marker 155 (between Midland and Stanton) the Interstate 20 service road around 8:35 PM on March 20th.

Troopers tell Big 2 that Michael Ware of Corpus Christi was heading east on the Interstate 20 service road when he smashed his Chevrolet pickup truck into a Peterbilt truck that was pulling out of a private drive.

Ware, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the big rig -- Abram Cortez of Lamesa -- wasn't injured in the crash.
