Two Permian Football Players Arrested

The Permian Panthers had a huge win on Saturday over Cedar Hill, but by Sunday the celebration was over.

Four Permian high school students were arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation. The Odessa American is reporting two football players, star wideout Tommey Morris, and defensive back Gordon Palmer, along with students Braxton Hudgens and Ruben Ochoa were arrested at 2 p.m. Sunday for allegedly stealing two laptop computers worth $400 and causing $100 dollars worth of damage to a door frame.

The alleged incident happen around noon on Sunday at a residence located at the 1500 block of Custer in Odessa. Morris was released from jail on a $7500 bond on Monday. The three others remained in jail, awaiting bond as of Monday afternoon.

Permian football head coach Gary Gaines said both Morris and Palmer are suspended from the team indefinitely.
