For Rodeo Cowboy Josh Peek, riding is in his DNA.

"There's lots of different sports out there.  But one of the things rodeo has always meant for us is family."

Josh and his two brothers Jeremiah and Jon, grew up around rodeo. It's no surprise that for these cowboys, rodeo takes on a whole new meaning.

"It's kind of a way of living, is what rodeo is; It's a way of life," said Peek.  "It's ethics and values that are instilled at such a young age and so that's kind of what my brothers and I were built on and that's what we've always stood for."

While the rodeos may be more than just a competition, don't think that this brother has lost his edge.

"It's not fun when you're losing," said Peek. "It doesn't matter what you're doing, whether it's business, or life or rodeo, but especially when you're in brotherly love matches."

And like any older brother, Josh always gets his way.

"I don't lose," said Peek. "I tell him, hey if I gotta fight dirty I'm not gonna lose."

His list of accomplishments is lengthy, but what Josh is most proud of is not his tie down time. It is his work with the Cowboy Ethics Program.

"We've seen kids that were dropouts and at the end of the ropes," said Peek. "I mean suicidal things like that. Now they have an education and they're in college and they're actually living life with happiness."

Josh now knows that is what the ride of life is all about.

"At the end of the day you can't carry a gold buckle to the grave with you but you can dang sure carry who you were and your character," said Peek.

That's something Josh will carry with him long after the rodeo.
