Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt interviewed former Kentucky head coach Billy Gillispie Wednesday in Palm Beach, Florida.

Gillispie spent two seasons at Kentucky before he was fired after going 40-27 in two seasons. Gillispie was then arrested on a drunken driving charge five months later  and eventually pleaded guilty. No offer has been made to Gillipse for the job, but he has been endorsed by Pat Knight.

Tech fired Knight last Monday, after just three seasons in Lubbock.
